(10 November 2024) In the end, it wasn’t as close as many observers thought. Besides winning the popular vote, Donald Trump ended up winning all seven swing states and led his party to control both the Senate and the House of Representatives. Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States on January 20, 2025. This outcome fulfilled my prediction of a Trump win based on both favourable transits (Jupiter conjunct Sun-Rahu-Uranus) and excellent progressed alignments that included no less than three direct planetary stations.
The victory is seen as a repudiation of far left, “woke” policies and has the potential to mark a major shift in the direction of the country. Trump’s chart this week also looks quite good as Venus hits his 5th house cusp (6 Sagittarius) on Tuesday where it will also align with his Ascendant. The Venus influence is likely to coincide with projecting a positive public image and facilitating national harmony. Given the polarization in the country, this Venus transit could be a good time for him to try to mend fences and become a ‘uniter.’ Monday’s Sun-Jupiter-Chiron alignment also looks positive for him, as his leadership capabilities will be highlighted through an alignment with his Jupiter-Uranus trine.
More generally, the transits this week are very much a mixed bag. The early week may be a better time to book appointments and start new projects given the Sun-Jupiter-Chiron alignment. But the mood could shift as early as Tuesday with the Mercury-Saturn square. This pairing is favourable for deep analysis and cold, rational thought, even if results from those efforts may be postponed until after the transit passes. Mercury-Saturn alignments are associated with pessimism and thus we could see some fallout in that regard in financial markets.
Another interesting alignment is set for Thursday whereby the Moon and Venus align with Mars and Rahu. The Mars-Rahu pairing is somewhat volatile and suggests unusual actions and a greater risk of conflict. As feminine planets, the Moon and Venus could see troubles emerge, especially related to relations between the sexes (Venus-Mars). Following Trump’s win, there are reports of Democrat-supporting women shaving their heads and going on a sex strike as a protest against some of the more traditional masculine followers of Donald Trump. We could well see more protests along those lines this week given the destabilizing effect of Rahu on Mars and its interplay with Venus and the Moon. In financial terms, this also presents some downside risk.
The best day of the week may well be next Sunday, November 17. On that day, the Moon conjoins Jupiter at 24 Taurus and opposes Mercury and aligns with Chiron. Thus, Sunday morning, (EST) will be an excellent time for any productive meeting that requires rational analysis and sensible thinking.
